What we do

Women Empowerment Foundation is aimed at providing support, guidance and solutions for  women who are facing problems such as family issues arising due to the sudden departure or death of the spouse, domestic violence, divorces, and much more. In these situations women become helpless and are confused about what to do, and whom to reach. There is an urgent need in helping and guiding these women, so that they can handle the issues in a better way.

During the years, we have seen many individual cases coming our way for help. Due to the gravity of the various issues, we realized that there is a need of a forum for dialogue and discussion on issues faced by women. Not just a need, it has become a social responsibility of well settled women to guide, mentor and help to ensure women’s welfare and that determination has resulted in creating Women Empowerment Foundation.

Through Women Empowerment Foundation, we want to provide support and help to empower women by building self-esteem and confidence.

Women Empowerment Foundation will be striving to provide the following services to the women in distress:

  • Establish a support network for women that offers resources for families in crisis.
  • Through our volunteer efforts, we will aim to help others and thereby empower them at the same time.
  • Our social events are aimed to establish genuine friendships and connections amongst ourselves and network within the group.
  • Establish dialogue and discussion on issues of interest to women in the fields of day to day life, education, social welfare, culture, business, etc.
  • Increase the knowledge of issues related to women.
  • Improve the visibility of women and to promote their role in the community.
  • Recognize, promote, encourage & motivate women who are greatly contributing to the society.
  • Through various seminars and activities, we plan to increase the knowledge of immigration, marriage issues, health, financial and retirement planning (covering retirement housing, long-term care and Social Security) in the community.
  • Promote a sense of awareness of issues relevant to ourselves and our community.
