Breast Cancer Awareness Teleconference

Dr. Rashmi Pradhan Vaidya who is double Board Certified in General Surgery having trained in both India (2000) and the US (2009) has been practicing exclusively breast surgical oncology since completing her Breast Surgery Fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic in 2009. Dr. Vaidya joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in July 2016.

Dr. Vaidya practices a patient centered, evidence based approach to breast cancer treatment. Her surgical repertoire includes: oncoplastic breast surgery, modified radical mastectomies and reconstructive breast procedures done in concert with plastic surgery. Her advanced training in Japan gives her the ability to offer a minimally invasive approach to select patients for certain breast surgery procedures.

Dr. Padma Tummala: She practices Obstetrics and Gynecology at Park Avenue, in Glendale AZ. Dr. Tummala provides comprehensive Gynecology care including gynourology, advanced laparoscopy and in office procedures. She also deals with problems related to female organs and wide range of issues arising from them. She specializes in delivering babies and does preventive services for women. She has been practicing for more than 20 years now. Dr. Tummala is married and has a son and a daughter. Her hobbies include yoga, reading and cooking.

Dr. Brenda Moorthy. She is a specialist in treating breast diseases and she practices oncoplastic breast surgery, which combines sound oncology principles with plastic surgery techniques. She was voted by her peers as a “Top Doc” in 2013-2017. One of her passions is to promote international awareness of breast cancer, specifically in countries such as India.

She has coauthored publications and a book chapter. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and playing tennis with her husband and two young sons.

Dr. Sujatha Gunnala is a practicing physician, specializing in Infertility &Reproductive endocrinology in the valley. She established South west Fertility center in 1980, a state of the art medical center for treatment of Infertility problems in Women and men . Dr. Gunnala along with her skilled and compassionate staff devotes her time in helping women achieve their goal of having a baby and motherhood . She was Voted Top Doctor in Phoenix magazine.

Dr. Gunnala and her husband Mr. Suri Gunnala been actively involved in many community services in the valley and they have donated 15 acres land to Maha Ganapathi temple. They have two sons and two grand children.

The teleconference was a wonderful knowledgeable session on breast cancer awareness. Each one of us who attended the session had a wealth of information on breast cancer and I'm sure most of us will be getting a mammogram done soon. IWEF once again thanks the doctors who have been so kind enough to spare the time and spend it with all of us on a Friday evening! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to have such an esteemed panel imparting knowledge for a better health. Thank you Dr. Vaidya, Dr. Gunnala, Dr. Tummala and Dr. Moorthy.
