Special Needs Community Get-Together
WEF Special Needs Community Celebrates Togetherness at Heartwarming Get-Together
The Women’s Empowerment Foundation (WEF) successfully hosted a heartwarming Potluck Get-Together on May 17, 2026, at the Ekta Mandir Hall, bringing together nearly 80 participants for a memorable day filled with connection, talent, joy, and celebration.
As one of WEF’s important pillars, the Special Needs initiative focuses on fostering an inclusive and supportive community for families and children. This event created a welcoming space where families could connect, support one another, and celebrate every child.
One of the highlights of the event was a special sharing session where each family spoke about one unique and special quality of their child. These touching stories showed what makes each child special, inspiring everyone and helping build a stronger community.
The event also provided an opportunity for children to shine. Several young participants delighted the audience with their talents. Some kids sang beautiful songs, others played instruments, many performed lively dance routines, and others shared their special talents, making the event truly memorable.
The celebration continued with lively music, delicious potluck dishes contributed by families, and plenty of opportunities for social interaction.
The children especially enjoyed dancing together, laughing, making new friends, and simply having a wonderful time.
The gathering was a true testament to the power of community, inclusion, and mutual support. By bringing families together in a joyful and accepting environment, WEF continues to create meaningful opportunities for connection and empowerment within the Special Needs community.
The success of this event would not have been possible without the participation and enthusiasm of all the families who attended.
WEF looks forward to organizing many more such gatherings that celebrate every child’s unique abilities and foster a sense of belonging for all.
Together, we continue to build a stronger, more inclusive community. One celebration at a time.
